Trustees are volunteers, usually from the local area, who use their skills, knowledge and experience to ensure the charity is well-governed andfinancially sound. Whilst not involved in day-to-day operations, trustees set the direction to set the charity’s strategy and are responsible for ensuring the charity is carrying out the purposes for which it was set up.
