Repairs and Recycling
As a resident, it's important to be aware of your responsibilities regarding repairs and recycling. Please ensure necessary repairs are reported promptly and that you are recycling to support our community goals.
For more detailed information, please refer to the residents' handbook.
Repairs
Like any householder, residents should handle minor tasks themselves like changing lightbulbs or attempting to unblock sinks, before reporting them for repair. We are a community so, when practical, consider asking a fellow resident to help.

During Office Hours: Contact the Housing Manager via telephone, email, or face-to-face. Clearly explain the issue, its location, and when it was first noticed. The Housing Manager will provide a timescale and arrange for one of our trusted contractors to attend. You will need to ensure that someone is home to provide access or give consent for the Manager to do so.

Emergency Repairs only (Outside Office Hours): Contact the emergency out-of-hours call handler (number displayed on site signage).

Resident Responsibilities: Residents should follow the above process; otherwise, they may be liable for the repair costs themselves.

Recycling
All sites have a communal bin store or area for refuse disposal. All residents need to keep the area tidy and be considerate to other residents.

There is a list on the bin store of what can and cannot be recycled but in general, plastic bottles, tin cans, paper and card can all be recycled. Do not bag these items but place them loose in the recycling container.
General waste must be bagged and placed in a “general waste” bin.

Glass is not collected and must be taken to local recycling banks which are located at local supermarkets.

Should you have any bulky waste e.g. an old chair then you need to arrange for its separate disposal yourself either by taking it to the local tip or contacting the council to arrange for a collection.
