Application Process

Please note there is a high demand for our almshouse accommodation.

If you meet the eligibility criteria and would like to apply, then please download and complete the application form from the link below. If you would prefer to have a paper copy posted to you, please contact the office at housing@readingalmshouses.org.uk or by phone on 0118 9314631. 

Priority will be given to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We hold a waiting list.

Successful applicants at the top of the waiting list will be asked to 

• view a flat when a vacancy arises. 

• provide identity documentation 

• provide references 

• Disclose their personal financial situation

• Attend an interview to discuss their application.  

If successful then a deposit will be required before moving in.
